Custom-Designed Packing & Transport Tools

Because every handmade piece deserves precision handling, we’ve gone beyond standard removals gear — we’ve designed and built our own protection system specifically for transporting fine furniture.

HDPE Floor Runners

We use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) runners that we engineered ourselves.

• Underside HDPE, top side rubber.
• They create a low-friction, waterproof base that allows us to lower heavy cabinets to the ground, without strain or surface damage.
• Each runner is lightweight yet extremely strong, making it easy to reposition furniture safely in tight spaces or delicate interiors.

Protective Edge & Corner Guards

Our custom-cut C-shaped edge guards grip solid-wood edges securely without straps, lined with foam for extra cushioning.

• Perfect for freshly polished or oiled hardwood surfaces.
• Reusable, silent, and quick to fit — a massive upgrade from taped-on cardboard.

Custom Hook Adapters

We developed metal hook adaptors that bridge the gap between heavy-duty ratchet hooks and smaller vehicle tie-points.

• Made from galvanised steel, each adaptor safely connects our heavy straps to smaller anchor holes.
• Tested to over 300 kg load, giving us total flexibility and strength during transport.

These simple innovations make our operation safer, faster, and far more protective than traditional removals — designed in-house for real-world furniture delivery work.

Our Packing Process — Built for Handcrafted Furniture

Every delivery starts with a careful on-site assessment of the furniture’s finish, weight, and structure.

We then use a three-tier protection system developed in-house to ensure each item arrives in perfect condition.

Light to Medium Weight Items

For furniture that can be easily carried by one or two people:

• First layer: full bubble-wrap wraparound, sealed at the joints.
• Second layer: thick furniture blankets for impact protection and to cushion vibration during transport.
• Painted or lacquered finishes: covered with an additional layer of kraft-backed protective paper — a heavy-duty, non-abrasive paper often used by restorers and cabinetmakers to prevent micro-scratches.

Large or Heavy Items

For tables, cabinets that are heavy and/or oversized:

• We use our custom HDPE floor-runner system — allowing controlled sliding with no scuffing or lift strain.
• Reinforced edge guards and ratchet-strap protection sleeves ensure all tie points stay secure without marking timber.
• Weight is evenly distributed across pads or runners, avoiding stress on legs or joints.

In-Transit Protection

Inside the vehicle:

• Item are secured using tie points, non-marring straps, with edge Protectors for ratchet strapping.
• Soft-touch corner posts and anti-slip mats prevent shift or compression.
• The vehicle floor is always clean, dry and lined before loading — no bare timber ever touches the floor.

Pricing

Our pricing is fair, transparent and calculated automatically through our quotation system.

It measures the journey distance, travel time, diesel usage and any toll or congestion charges, ensuring every quote is accurate and itemised.

Use of our 3.5-ton Luton vehicle adds £88 per day, and when a driver’s mate is required for heavier or two-person lifts, an additional £90 applies.

Packing services are available at £17.50 per hour, charged only for the time actually used. No hidden extras — everything is quoted clearly before we collect.
